At Mobile Vehicle Diagnostics, we don't sell "plug-ins" or generic diagnostic scans. You are paying for expert fault-finding time, specialized equipment, and convenient, doorstep service.
We don't charge hidden call-out fees on top of our hourly rate. Our initial fee covers our travel to your location and your first 30 minutes of diagnostic time on-site.

Zone 1: Local Area (Scarborough & Immediate Surrounds)
Includes Scarborough, Scalby, Burniston, Eastfield, Cayton, Seamer
Initial Call-Out & First 30 Mins On-Site: £90
Additional Time Thereafter: £60 / hour (billed in £30 / 30-minute increments)
Zone 2: Coastal & Nearby Towns
Includes Filey, Hunmanby, Cloughton, Ravenscar, Sherburn
Initial Call-Out & First 30 Mins On-Site: £105
Additional Time Thereafter: £60 / hour (billed in £30 / 30-minute increments)
Zone 3: Extended Travel Area
Includes Whitby, Malton, Pickering, Bridlington, Driffield
Initial Call-Out & First 30 Mins On-Site: £120

How Our Billing Works
No Fixed Scan Fees: We don't charge extra for printing texting or emailing a diagnostic report or plugging our systems in, it is all included in your overall time.
Transparent Labour: Most standard diagnostic checks, component tests, or basic ECU initialization, resets are identified within the first 30–60 minutes.
Prior Approval: If a fault requires deeper electrical tracing or strip-down work taking longer than your initial slot, we always explain the situation and get your approval before continuing.
ECU Coding & Online Programming: Complex online ECU matching or module flashing requiring manufacturer server subscriptions is quoted upfront prior to starting work once it has been identified as a requirement
