The Myth of the 20,000-Mile Service
Many modern manufacturers suggest "Long-Life" service intervals of 18,000 to 20,000 miles. While this looks good on a corporate lease spreadsheet, it is often detrimental to the long-term health of your engine.
Oil Degradation: Oil doesn't just lubricate; it cleans and cools. Over 20,000 miles, oil breaks down, becomes acidic, and collects carbon deposits.
Component Failure: Extended intervals are the leading cause of premature timing chain wear, turbocharger failure, and blocked oil galleries.
Our Recommendation: For maximum engine longevity, we strongly recommend an oil and filter change every 10,000 miles or 12 months—whichever comes first.
Why the Correct Oil Matters
Modern engines have incredibly tight tolerances. Using the "wrong" 5W-30 just because it's on the shelf can damage sensitive components like DPFs (Diesel Particulate Filters) or wet-timing belts.
Manufacturer Specific: We use only premium oils that meet the exact OEM Specification for your specific engine (e.g., VW 507.00, BMW LL-04, or Mercedes 229.51).
Protection: The correct oil ensures your emissions system stays clean and your internal engine components are protected against friction during cold starts.

A comprehensive annual service. We replace the oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter alongside a detailed inspection of the brakes, suspension, and steering. And a full diagnostic health scan using our diagnostic scan tools.
Major Service
The ultimate protection. Includes everything in a Full Service, plus spark plugs (petrol) and cabin filter. And a full diagnostic health scan using our diagnostic scan tools.
